Friday, January 23, PM. In the Lync topology builder's "merge or R2" wizard, when I disable federation on the legacy OCS R2 edge server uncheck the box and continue, I get this and the "finish" button is greyed out on the next screen:. Downloading topology CmdletInvocationException: There were errors while creating and validating a topology.
Exception: There were errors while creating and validating a topology. InvokeHelper at System. I kept tried several times and keep getting the same error. I won't let me delete the OCS edge either. Eventually, I proceeded on and got my Lync Edge server in place and all is working great with it. All federation traffic and "external" connection flow through it with no issue. I know the traffic is going to the Lync edge and not the OCS edge because of network firewall changes.
Now I just need to be able to get rid of the old edge server and break the merge of the two environments, but I can't get past the above error. Any suggestions?
